TGIF Underwater - I want to see you!
Chet the biggest problem there is that you went after the barracuda. They are very territorial. When you see them you really should keep your distance.
I try and pound this into John's head but he never listens to me. Well, he might now after our last trip. We found a HUGE barracuda...this one (the other fish give you an idea of his size):

I took its picture and went on my way. But John followed it around. The barracuda put up with it for a while, but eventually it got agitated, dove straight down to the sand, turned around, shot up in front of him and got right up in his face. I think he walked on the water to get out of there! He was seriously freaked out, but I told him it was his fault for annoying it.
I have heard that they'll go for sparkly stuff too. I turn my ring around and hold my finger over the diamond when I am snorkeling. Diving gloves are another good option if you have jewelry on your finger that you don't want to take off.

It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.
