Wow - I really have to think about this one. Vicki's pictures make me want to eat there SOOO bad. And it IS our 25th anniversary. However, after you add a couple of cocktails and the tip, our meal will be over $200 - yikes!!!!

Yep - but you will probably spend $69.00 pp or close to it at a "nice" restaurant (ZoZo's Chateau Bordeaux etc) anyway if you both have apps, main and dessert - so go for it (and this is as much as you want :)

Here is a sample copy of ZoZo's menu - apps in the $14 range, main in the $36 range and desserts in the $10 range (total $60.00+) but I must say the food there is wonderful but the seafood buffet at Caneel is on our "bucket list"

Great comparison Pia because Zozo's was our second choice. When you do the math, it makes sense to go with our first choice. We would spend just as much at Zozo's but will get more choices at Caneel. It is settled - Caneel buffet is where we will celebrate 25 years!!

Thanks for the help.

I know MB it's terrible

I have been Stateside soooo much lately (I leave again in 10 days for 4 days then I am back 10 days and leave again for almost 3 weeks :( ) that time just get's away from you.

I want to make sure to go for the seafood night but Monday is hubby's day off so we end up doing "stuff" during the day (you know the fun stuff like going to STT to do our monthly shop or maybe if we are lucky going to a beach :) ) so come evening we usually just want to stay in with the "girls" :)

Monday night at Caneel.......soon come :)

I just happened to come across some receipts from 2007 and for this dinner it was $235 including tip. Our Zozo's bill was $192 and I know that included one bottle of wine, no other drinks as we had those in the lounge before hand.

our favorite is always La Tapa but I don't have my receipt from there :)
Hmm .. of Caneel and Zozo's I really enjoyed both. I think next time I'd do the bar at Zozo's for sunset but I'm not sure I'd want that for my Anniversary. Caneel Buffet is a nice experience.
