My vote is for Cinnamon! One of the biggests pros, in my opinion, is actually the wave action!

My husband & I (even at our age)- which I won't disclose - have a blast "playing" in the waves every time that we go to Cinnamon. Most of the beaches on St. John have relatively calm surf - at least that is what we have experienced. But, at Cinnamon - you get those big waves that you can hop up and down in, the water is beautiful & warm, sand is great. We love that there are "facilities" there. Though it is not as "secluded" as other beaches - it is always fun seeing others having fun, as well.

Also, as noted, there is a little restaurant and also a little general store where you could grab a sandwich/drinks, etc.

My "vote" is a little biased, as Cinnamon was our first-ever beach on St. John & still remains one of our favorites!

I'd pick Maho over Cinnamon if it were just me, but if I had my teen daughter with we would go to Cinnamon. Acocording to her, that is the ONLY place where she spotted any "hot guys". :D

I'm with SuefromMa, Cinnamon is our favorite for playing in the waves. Yes, it can be windy there, but we never really hang out on the beach. We are either out snorkeling somewhere or playing in the water.

I like Maho a LOT too, but with teens I think you should check out Cinnamon. They might find more kids their age there, and they'd likely enjoy the water toys for rent.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.
