Nope, the big front seat is just that - a bigger seat in the front of the plane. I know this b/c Spirit did away with the "business class" idea right around the time we flew them last summer. It was pretty funny b/c a lady was sitting in one complaining that all of the commoners (my word, not hers) we're using the first class bathroom. The flight attendant had to break the bad news that there was no first class.

I think drinks are a buck or two, water is free.

Drinks are $2 and you have to use a credit card, they won't take cash believe it or not. The cost of check luggage also went up from $5- $10 dollars online ahead of time or more at the airport. Good luck.

Thanks everyone for the great feedback! If we can work out a few other tiny little details, like finding a place to stay, we're going to go ahead and book the Spirit flights for late May at $260 apiece, including taxes out of ATL, in the small backseats.

And if we have a nightmare experience, it's all y'all's fault! Especially alw1977's!

Just kidding... We've had our share of nightmares with just about every airline, so we know things happen. We'll keep positive, happy thoughts!

Thanks again!!
