The guided Reef Bay Trail hike is definitly worth it! The NPS offers a lot of interesting information on St. John flora, fauna, history, plus other neat facts. And the boat ride back to Cruz Bay allows you to see the Southern coast of the island. We had a great time when we went in 2005 and are doing it again this year and taking family who have never been to St. John before.
We are happy we did the guided hike with the NPS. The boat ride back was another whole experience - the captain spotted humpbacks! We have photos of a mama and her baby in Reef Bay!
