I have and will continue to rent Caribbean accomodations with no ocean view when my budget requires it. It's better than not going at all or taking a place w/o air conditioning. I do, however, require that the place have a great location if it doesn't have a view. That way, I can easily get to somewhere with a view (like The Beach Bar).
That places looks beautiful and the pool looks nice. Given a choice, we all want the perfect view, pool and villa. It's just not always in the budget. If I waited until I could afford a "perfect" vacation, I'd only go on vacation once a year instead or 2-3 times. Yes, I'm kind of spoiled, but at least I'm thrifty.
