And the list goes on, and the list goes on. This is cracking me up. At least we'll all only have our carry-ons. Ha!! :D

Hey - if one brings an aero bed type thingy, can we put 3 in a room? That would cut down on cost. Just a thought. And I don't have a problem with bringing one at all.

Most houses show an occupancy over and above the bed room count anyway because of pull out sofa's. I don't want to have anyone staying on the sofa's, but why can't those extra two people stay in a bedroom on aero beds?

Just a thought! :)

I wanna go! I would be happy with the pull-out sofa too! My problem is convincing my hubby to let me go with all you wild, uh I mean responsible women.
How did you girls brainwash your men into letting you go without them??

Yes, count me in too. Jayseadee added my only real requirement .... a VIEW. (Oh, and I'm not really a camper-type girl either.) I will sleep almost anywhere; an air mattress, patio chair, share a bed, Kenny's house (lol). Ali~

Let me tell you it took a lot of convincing.
My husband doesn't "get it" and I think my family didn't want me to go because they lost their cook and I wasn't there to do their laundry.
I told them I will be going in 2008. 8)
Now that they see that I didn't get hooked up with some "bubba", I think they are fine with it.

Colleen, I'm confident that you will be able to figure it out.  (If not, we can move this dicussion to the Off Topic forum and I'm sure they'll be plenty of comments from the men.)

Let's see...........we have Coden, Ksea, Jayseadee, Msgcolleen, B-as-u-r, and the original gang. I'm sure we can find a villa that sleeps 11 or 12 and it would have to be pretty reasonable to split it that many ways. If we get several more, then we'll have to have 2 villas. I think Tennis Villa is fairly reasonable and has 2 homes right next to each other and sleeps a boat load of people. I know nothing about it. Now I have a project today (besides laundry, housework, groceries, Christmas, etc.) to keep me busy. :D

I did a little checking...........Villa Panache sleeps 12 and would be 613. per person (including tax), Tennis Villa sleeps 14 and that would be 543. per person. I know that there are others, but I just wanted to throw that out for a couple of examples. That's a lot of estrogen under one roof.

I am considering it. It looks like we may not be taking our August trip, so I just have to pass it by the big guy.

I will let you know in a week or so. Is that OK?

I am digging the Tennis one! View looks fantastic and you can walk to the beach! Price and location are great. BTW, my man is really encouraging me to do this, he thinks it's a great idea. It's definately my kind of trip!

Check out La Jolla Caribe. It looks amazing. Love the views. And it will take extra peeps. Also seems to be a good value.

La Jolla Caribe has no pool, and a/c in only one bedroom. I love the location though. Should we start a ?OTB Villa Search Topic over in the off topic forum?

Ladies -

I am considering this too. The SOTB of 2007 was such a success....!

I'll be talking with the hubby this weekend - we are already planning to go in January and June - why not November too??!!

I'll let you know.

I actually booked La Jolla Caribe for my trip last May but had the opportunity to preview it last December and after having visted the villa, changed my mind and booked another villa. It's pretty out there and the road to get there not so great, not that either of these would be a deal breaker for me. I, too, had thought the views were amazing and since that is my primary pre-requisite for booking a villa, I was expecting great things from this villa. Maybe my expectation was too high, but I was disappointed. I thought the villa was a bit too dark for my likes and the furnishings a bit tired. I could see piling a bunch of kids, grandparents, siblings, aunts/uncles into the place and having a great time. Definitely not the right villa for 2 couples. My recollection is that there was no pool, so this may be a deal breaker for those requiring a pool. I do recall that someone else on the forum stayed there and thought it was great. Anyway, just my 2 cents for whatever it's worth. Anyway, I'm flexible so if this becomes the chosen villa, then so be it... I'd be totally fine with it! Ali~
