Linne's diary, part 5, the final. Which island is the best?
Hi to all of you!
Thank you for your nice comments to my diary. I’m so glad that some of you have read it all and have enjoyed it. It has taken so much time to write it - but has also been funny.
BUT are you polite or what, not saying anything about another of my mistakes?? I’m just being told that “butt”, which I mentioned, we had rum punch in on Buck Island, means something you do not keep rum punch in – a part of your body!!! What do people imagine, reading my words “ a big butt with a tap”??? Are you laughing so the tears run down your cheeks? I need to tell that the “object” was a closed basket- perhaps the word is “cask”. But to my defence I too have to tell that in my dictionary the English word is “butt”, but it seems to mean something else for the Americans.
To Grace:
In October we are going to Spain for 10 days. We have a small cottage in Costa del Sol.
So very often we spent our vacation there. But we also love to see other parts of the world
and still miss to see Australia and USA (being tourists, hb has been there many times). Would also love to visit South America.
