Love, love, love your report! I was just thinking how affordable that cute villa is when you don't have to factor in airfare and rental car! LOL! Have an excellent time!! How cool!

Will you be doing any sandscrit messages to us?

Have a great, relaxing time Ruth and Ron. You don't have to tell us about all of your activities besides watching the rubber duckies

Now I must agree with all the other posters and say that this must be one of the best trip reports anywhere!

Just a few weeks back I remember hinting to Ron that he should take you over to Secret Harbour for a vacation. Sounds like he took my advice but just stayed a little closer to home! Have a WONDERFUL time and enjoy that hot tub and view!

Good for you!

Ruth and Ron...great trip report so far! Can't wait for the rest. Couple of questions.....did you have any checked bags or did you all do carry on only? What food did you pack? Did you bring any frozen meats? What kind?

What are you going to do if the CA ferry stops running? Have you tried the Bushwhackers at The Beach Bar yet? They are pretty awesome. Be sure and stop in that cute little spice shop at the end of the ferry dock, nice lady up there owns it, she'll do about anything to help you out! We bought some stuff from her and she shipped it back home for us, and it was actually waiting for us when we got home!

Anyway, glad you are enjoying the St. John vacation! I know we do every time we go there!! Looking forward to some pix, and the rest of the story!!

I read an article in the Sunday Boston Globe about how there is a rising trend for people to vacation in the towns they live in. Here is MA, people are even buying second, seasonal homes on lakes in the same town as their year-round house. I guess you are proof that the trend is real!

Enjoy your restful break, you certainly deserve it!

Enjoy your time off – I’m sure it’s well deserved. If you go out shopping – I know of this great place that sells spices and coffee. I think that you might know the owners.

We have been to a few B&B's over at the shore, about 25 minutes from home. At first it felt weird but in the long run I really kind of liked it. It was easy to do and I was still able to get that "away from home/routine" feeling.
