FlaGeorge - I looked for Uncle Buddies today, but only found James the Mail Man BBQ. He tried to convince me that he has the BEST jerk chicken, mahi mahi and shrimp... but we were there in the late afternoon and had already eaten at Gladys' downtown... so didn't have anyone's food. If we go back, we'll try to find Uncle Buddies again!

We put off scuba diving until tomorrow... so we're not getting over to St. John until Friday. Ugh!

Hi Carole

Please let us know how your dive went with Chris Sawyer. Glady’s Café is one of my favorite places for Caribbean food. I love how she always has Tina Tuner blasting.

Directions to Uncle Buddies: Turn down the road off 38 towards Coki Beach. You’ll go up and over a hill – past what use to be the Renaissance Grand Beach Resort on the right – you’ll come to a turn-off on the left into a dirt parking area (this is the back entrance that the locals use to get to Coki beach). Once in the parking area – off to the right you’ll see a small fenced-in cemetery. Uncle Buddies is right on the beach behind the cemetery. Or, after parking – walk out to the beach, turn right and Uncle Buddies is a shack up under some trees on the right. Hope you find it – Penn is a hoot.

If you find it – tell Penn (TK’s friend from 1-800-FLOWERS) George said “Hello”.

Another place close by that you may want to try is Fungi’s in the Point Pleasant Resort.

Fungi's on the Beach is a funky native food restaurant on waters edge, featuring entertainment and dancing. Fungi's is the place for fun and authentic West Indian Cuisine.
