We rent from Courtesy...they pick us up at dock. I arrange to meet villa greeter at starfish. We almost always bring a small cooler with steaks. Grilling the first night, enjoying a few rum beverages and then taking a dip in the pool is the sure cure for our long travel day.

Thanks to all for the ideas!
My issue is that I want to get up to the house before sunset. There is nothing more beautiful to welcome you to the island than a sunset from Gift Hill and Coconuts! I want that to be the first experience my family has on island. This will be their first experience in St John.

In addition, I think my parents will be so exhausted from a 5:30am flight that although I love the idea of stopping for dinner .... but I'm not sure they will! I wish we got in a few hours earlier but even leaving MSP at 5:30am with minimal layover in ATL, we will barely get to St John before dark.

Thanks for sharing all the great ARRIVAL STRATEGIES!
