There were beautiful sunrises every morning, which we enjoyed from the tower or pool deck with coffee. The sunsets were also really nice from the tower and partially from the pool (there is a pic of a sunset in my photos as well as a few sunrises). In 2010 we saw some people walking dogs, but we could only see them from the tower and the same with the neighboring house across the street. In the pool you can see a part of the road from a great distance (also visible from the photos).
On our last trip to STJ this past December, we noticed that the gate the walkers used was shut every time we drove by (morning and night) on our way to Fish Bay.
There was a beautiful breeze and minimal bugs because of it.
