When we are looking for something very ecconomical we look through privatehomesvi.com. Have rented from them twice. Properties are top notch but not luxurious. Kia Ora( used to be Tesseract) and Meridien are 2 nice, convenient and ecconomical houses. They have some others without pools. The property at Lavender Hill Condos is Lavender Blue Seas. Just returned from there and it was a great choice. Car parked immediately adjacent to the entrance, king bed, new bath with walk in shower and nice covered balcony overlooking the harbor. Gallows Views with low prices. Managed by CimmRon St John.

Jim, if you'd consider a condo, we found a unit at Lavender Hill that is managed by an on-island company, and we're very happy with the price. The complex gets good reviews. PM me if you need more information.

Dreamshark may have some ideas for you as well - she's done a lot of research!
Minde-When I was on island last month, I met a couple of girls at the beach bar, one of them had just bought a Lavender Hill condo so I got to see first hand what they look like, they are very nice and the view over the harbor is picture perfect. What company did you go through for Lavender Hill? You can PM is you prefer

Don't want to cut in on Minde but the Lavender Hill Condo she is referring to is Lavender Blue Seas, managed by Cimmaron St John. I just reviewed it on Trip Advisor. I don't see folks reviewing condos on this forum so I didn't post here.

Again, not a villa but a condo. Harbor View located past Dolphin Market but before you make the left hand turn to head out of town. I want to be totally forthcoming and state that we were scheduled to stay there this coming May 1st thru the 12th but life kinda got in the way. It is managed by St.John Properties. We have never stayed at a villa in the 17 years we have been coming to St John. The view is most important to us and Harbor View looks as though it has an amazing sunset. Hopefully, someone from the forum can turn our bad luck into their good luck......we are just heart sick.

Jim, we stayed here http://wintermoonstjohn.com/ in May a few years ago (when we met and had dinner at Shipwreck) and we loved it. Great price, new and fresh and very well eqipped. The owners are very nice. It's located in Coral Bay.
