I'm curious if how larger coolers fair during travel and how do you secure them properly? My husband hates carry-on luggage and would much rather just buy the food when we arrive but i'm the more practical one.

thanks
I hear ya on the husband carry-on issue....

We have a 48 can Polar Bear that I have checked several times. It is secured with the zipper.

I have seen many of those igloo plastic coolers that are secured with duct tape. I can't believe TSA would take the time to retape that if they openned it.

I love my polar bear cooler! We always stuff if FULL and then freeze the entire cooler for a few days prior to travel. The last time I really put it to the test and brought a pound of butter!! Still frozen after 36 hours!
