So glad he made the trip safely and is in good hands back home. This whole thing brings back horrible flash backs to me, of what we just went through with my father.
I like to bring closure to this post the belief is my father-in-law has Drug-induced immune hemolytic anemia brought on by the antibiotic utilized for his pneumonia or the extra dose of blood thinner given him. He's been in the hospital since my wife brought him back last Saturday, and he continues to be problematic in his recovery. My wife thanks you for your kind wishes and thoughts.
The lesson I learned from this is if in doubt if at all possible bring your loved one home by airplane as soon as possible. Because if nothing else, they are more comfortable and reassured being closer to home.
I join others here in offering my condolences and sympathy in the loss of your father-in-law to you, your wife, and the family. May all of you find comfort and peace at this sad time.
I have no idea how I missed this before. So, so sorry for your loss. I hope it was of some comfort to the family to have him home and in the excellent care of hospice.
I've been away from the forum for awhile, but I saw this and want to say I'm very sorry. At least you were able to bring him home. Tough situation all around. Soooo sorry.
