SurfNH-Hi! You are absolutely right! By the way, I live right near you in Dunstable! :)So, do you know of any good dive shops around here?

I can see both points..but my trip consists of my daughter, her boyfriend, mother-in-law, myself, my husband and our baby. Two of which have never snorkeled, so buying an expensive set for the two may not be worth it. My husband and myself on the other hand go to St. John every year so I will invest thanks to all your advice! :)
Ahh cool, right next door! Yep, we buy everything at Aquatic Specialties, they're on 101A in Merrimack, right near PC Connection. They have very nice stuff there, it's not all on the web site, and they know how to properly fit you.

Another option is Northeast Scuba, I think I got my prescription mask from them years ago? As I recall, they're pretty close to Rt. 3 in Chelmsford.

Hey, be careful with beginners, if they have problems once in the water it can ruin the experience. But maybe you could buy them a few blow pipes and rent the mask/fins down there?

Have fun!

I realize you've probably already bought but for reference I've done really well online at 101snorkel.com over the past few years buying equipment for other people. They give really good descriptions if you know their featurs well enough you can get a good fit for a great price. Personally I paid $100 for my own mask that has a digital camera in it though. We ended up saving money that way and it works great from Liquid Image. I plan to get another, better one hopefully in the next year from them. :)
Don't sweat the small stuff!
