Sleeping in airport question
We have been through sju several times for cruises and I don't think it was a bad/sketchy airport. Years ago it was a different story Last there a couple years ago and they were working on opening a new concourse/terminal which I'd guess has opened by now.
Would you only have carry on? Then you wouldn't have to leave security would you?
If you did, as someone else posted, JetBlue flies in middle of the night so I'd think they'd be open all the time but perhaps you could call to find out for sure.
Good luck with whatever you decide.

I say just get a hotel. You all are going to be exhausted from traveling and could probably use a few hours of good sleep. Why start your vacation with everyone sleep deprived and cranky? Rent the hotel room..and be done with it.

I keep going back and forth with all these different experiences people are posting!
Guess I can contact JetBlue or the airport and maybe they can give me a definitive answer as to the hours and how early I can check in. And a VIOL member is checking things out for me when she travels ths month. And I may post on the San juan TA board.
Thanks everyone for the great feedback and opinions!
FYI...I have already booked air so the arrival time is set. We had considered the earlier flight but that would have only gotten us in at 4 so still no real time to see anything. At least this way hubby can work that day and we all hopefully get a little shut eye on the plane from Baltimore to Puerto Rico.
