The almost funny thing is that I can't line up who your screen names to your real names...because I'm just that kind of jackass.

As we're saying "He came in this world stubborn and is leaving no his own terms"...or maybe his number isn't up yet.

We're in FLA for now, but have to get home to Thing 1 tomorrow. Thing 2 has been here since Thursday. We'll be back on the weekend, to escort my father in law to his own funeral. Because the grumpy SOB is gonna attend it alive or dead.

And if that insults you in any way...get bent.

I sooo understand this. I lived through it with my father several months ago.

Susan's father passed away today. Our thoughts are with her and her entire family.

thanks everyone. It's been hard because this really was a relief, and relief is not what you often feel when a loved one passes. For the past several months there's been a lot of waiting for this to happen.

But, she got to FLA last week, held his hand, said "good bye" and came home feeling OK...or as OK as one can be about it all.

We have to wait another week before we go back to FLA for the funeral, but that only adds to the insanity of this whole process.

Rob, so sorry to hear that Susan's dad passed. I was so grateful that I was with my mom eleven years ago, it gives a sense of closure. It is never easy to lose a parent, reminds us of our own mortality. Good karma coming your way. Jan
