We're in FLA for now, but have to get home to Thing 1 tomorrow. Thing 2 has been here since Thursday. We'll be back on the weekend, to escort my father in law to his own funeral. Because the grumpy SOB is gonna attend it alive or dead.
And if that insults you in any way...get bent.

thanks everyone. It's been hard because this really was a relief, and relief is not what you often feel when a loved one passes. For the past several months there's been a lot of waiting for this to happen.
But, she got to FLA last week, held his hand, said "good bye" and came home feeling OK...or as OK as one can be about it all.
We have to wait another week before we go back to FLA for the funeral, but that only adds to the insanity of this whole process.
