I know I should never ever where a bikini in public, and I don't at home, not even on my own beach, but in the Islands, I find it sooooooo hot, even a one piece, is to hot. So it's bikinis, with big girl tops, and a tank top over. Very comfortable!

FYI- JCrew is having a good swim sale in their Spring Sale section online right now. For the record, I do NOT know this. I did NOT just order two suits for $80 total while I was at work and I did NOT find another pair of shoes, too.

Even when I was a size zero I never wore a bikini. They look great, but I don't have the confidence to pull it off. I am just too reserved, I guess. Anyway, I buy my swimsuits at Lands End. They are sturdy enough to wear all day snorkeling.

And I wear a t-shirt over my bathing suit too, mostly for sun protection, but also because I don't like hanging around in just a bathing suit. I guess I would have been more comfortable back in the victorian days!

Looks like there is a variety of suits on the islands. Ladies how many swimsuits do you pack with you?

I prefer a bikini (not string), since I like to get a tan tummy. I agree the tankini doesn't do wonders for the tummy fat -- I end up with a little bit of fat waving hello to the world, which is NOT attractive  . I usually bring 2-3 suits with me, which I previously thought was excessive. Now from listening to the rest of you gals, need to get on-line at Victoria's Secret :D

Bikinis only for me...I usually take at least 5 of them to STJ.

Believe it or not, some of the best bikinis I own are from Wal-Mart! I've tried on the $100 ones at other stores, but they don't fit as well or look as good as the $20 ones I've gotten at Wally World. And since the price is so good, that means that I can buy more bikinis :)

Hi! I also ordered a couple of swimsuits from Victoria's secret. 2 Bikinis. One set I ordered the tankini top.

RickG is very good at selecting swimsuits. He selected this one for me a couple of months ago (as well as the body) and I am very pleased. :D Thank you, RickG!

 Do me, Do me!
(you know what I mean!) when he told me he was going to find a swimsuit for me, I was frightened. I've been saving that picture. May even put it in a frame!

Does anyone know where I can get a tankini that has good support on top (if you know what I mean) but is not the "old lady" kind (as my daughter would call them)? I need a different sized top than bottom. I would like one more suit and I would only order on-line if there was a return policy. I don't live close to any good stores and I've been to all of the ones I can.

sea nile, I saw some pretty neat tankinis in the athleta catalog I posted about earlier. They have ones sized for up to DD cups and the tops and bottoms are sold seperately so you can size correctly. http://www.athleta.com

Sea- I found a tankini last year at Target (or Tarjaay, as we like to call it)that was great support for up top. A good tip I recieved years ago for that was go for the haltar style suits. I find they support a little better and uhhh, keep things in place, too. :)

Liamsaunt- I got one of those Athleta catalogs in the mail for the first time a few weeks ago and they've got some really cute stuff! I've even considered a couple of their "active skirts" which I'd normally think was strange.

The last time I looked at the Venus catalog it was all bikinis. I'll have to look at it again.

Bikinis all the way but I agree to no strings as well. I'm also a short 5'3" and small framed but I have a J-Lo booty so I like to wear board shorts or a short skirt or a sarong with it. I can't even imagine why people would get butt implants (I watch too much Dr. 90210). Boggles the mind! I just wanna say here, you can have some of mine!!! I do own a couple tankinis but they are not my favorite. I usually take at least one for every day of the week!
