Fess up-how many pairs of shoes do you pack?
Mary Beth, you are no less woman - we all know you have your own girlie quirks - it's just not shoes!
Flip Flop - this is OT, but I never really thought of myself having a very southern accent, but when I spoke to Cpt. Clark's wife down in STJ on the phone the other night she said, "Clark didn't tell me you were a southern girl!" It must be worse than I thought.

No- I guess I mis-spoke yesterday. I am a girlie girl when it comes to some things...shoes, bikinis, shoes. I am a freak when it comes to a clearance sale too. Last year I went to Boscovs for one pair of flip flops. I walked out with 7 pairs of flip flops/sandles for a grand total of $65.00 and that haul included one pair Liz Claiborne and one pair Franco Sarto. I think I did pretty good. Bathing suits too. I brought one in almost every color last year and wore them all, with matching cover-ups. I consider shopping to be a sport of sorts. Yeah- I got a problemVickiH wrote:
Am I the only person who takes a different bathing suit for every day? I am such a girl.

When will I see St John again?

NO we won't kick you out of the club. The only thing I like better than flip-flops is bare feet. If I could get away with it I'd never put a shoe on in the summer (I suppose the results of being raised at a marina). So ... while on STJ I am either barefoot (or is it barefeeted -- where is the grammar nazi when you need them) or in flip-flops!mary beth wrote:Am I somehow less a woman?????

I have not read any of the previous posts (I'm in a rush) so I might be repeating information...all I know is that Pete suggested I post something about this because he knows my packing issues and it all revolves around my DANG shoes so he suggested I pipe in here. I pack, at a MINIMUM, 8 pairs of shoes. You have your white heels, your white strappy heels, your black strappy heels, your flip flops of all colors/comfort levels, etc. Shoes are the only thing I can't not pack.

I too have a shoes fettish...my SO always calls me Imelda only I only have about 2 pairs of "dressy" shoes cuz I HATE to dress up.
Now tennis shoes (sneakers) and tevas are a whole 'nother story.
I used to bring one pair of tennis shoes but don't even bother with them anymore.
For me this year, it will probably be:
1 pair Keens
1 pair Tevas
1 pair Flip-Flops
1 pair birkenstocks (not positive about this one)
Trying to pack lighter this time. Will probably leave my "dressy Tevas" at home. My friend cracks up every time I refer to my "dressy Tevas" and says it's a total contradiction, but I am sure you guys know it's not.
