I would kill for that much vacation!

Me too Cat. I changed companies 6 months ago after working there 23 years and having 5 weeks of vacation. Now I only have 2 weeks of vacation.

The monster that's been created is me(!), though my husband loves STJ as well and we've hooked some friends. I pretty much keep my suitcase packed all the time. When I got back in March, I just washed my clothes and re-packed (for end of April trip). I still can't believe that I didn't sign up for the girls trip in November, that's just not like me to miss out on a trip to STJ. I think like Cypressgirl, I didn't think my husband would give me the okay for a fourth trip in less than one year. Sea-nile, perhaps a mother/daughter trip would be just the thing. Like waterguy suggested, we could just tell the husbands that it's for the kids. Daughters have a way of convincing their Dads. Ali~

I did the same thing but I was getting 4 weeks of vacaton and a trip to Disney World every year working for Disney. I got myself and 3 people in free to Disney parks and discounts everywhere we went. The only problenm was the every other vacation was so much more expensive that Disney was the only place we went! I am so glad our vacation choices have been broadened!

I have Nothintolose to thank for that! She pushed hard for our family trip to St John and now we are going back at her suggestion! Now that's a sister!

Wontongirl -

Yep. No one seems to forget the blue bucket. Here is an excerpt from my May 2005 trip report:

"What’s the blue bucket you ask? Well, we had my mother-in-law in tow. I won’t go into too much detail, but all of you with a MIL will understand – she believes she should sit up front with my husband whenever we go anywhere and I should sit in back. I am a very nice person, and always accommodate her. Not this time. This was MY vacation. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize how difficult it would be to get her in and out of the back of the Jeep. Hence, the blue bucket. We had to carry it everywhere we went and use it to launch her up into the back. She would stand up on it and we would have to shove her from behind to get her in. Does this make me a bad person? " :D

We do the same here in NJ with my MIL. We have a large SUV, and we bring a small footstool for my MIL. She steps up and then my wife (her daughter) pushes her from the butt into the SUV. God help them if they ever fell backwards. It's a pretty funny scene.

And you're not a bad person since you're willing to take her to STJ!
