Did you see Charlie Sheen on the Today Show this morning? Self-righteous, ill-tempered egotistical jerk would be a polite description. Lets see ---he's been in trouble for domestic abuse, having a porn star in his room at the Plaza while his kids are a few doors down, insults the people that give him exorbitant paychecks, and yet he still feels there is no need to apologize and that its everyone else that is at fault?
He's a train wreck... not the first won't be the last.
But there was an interesting take on the story in today's Times. The jist of the article was the fact that getting arrested twice for allegedly assaulting two different women, trashing hotel rooms and going on coke fueled binges wasn't enough to get him fired, but insulting his boss was.

Sounds like he's not the only dirtbag at the network.
On a more positive note, Charlie Sheen has given me the inspiration to call my boss a "contaminated little maggot." I'm hoping that strategy works out well for me.
The one thing I can say good about him is that at least he doesn't try to hide his debauchery like so many other actors, athletes, politicians, ceos....etc etc He is who he is. And yes, he is a scumbag but at least he owns it. I have respect for that.

Let us know how that worked out for you... could be the beginning of a movement.
That's EXACTLY the phrase that comes to me. He could have and do so much more with what he's got... fame, connections, money. Instead he trashes property, people, and his reputation, and he lost jobs for hundreds of others with his selfish behavior.
His dad Martin Sheen said, "The disease of addiction is a form of cancer..." and I have to confess I really resent that. My husband has cancer and he is NOT giving it to himself. He's not lifting a bottle of cancer to his lips or snorting it up his nose; he's not abusing his family, trashing hotel rooms and ruining his reputation. I'm sure whatever Charlie's issue is, is very difficult to deal with. But face it... it is self induced.
