Apparently I am still trying to maintain the London/Paris buzz.

We have been watching the Tour de France on the Versus network for the awesome HD helicopter shots. The other day they were going thru a section of southern France at the foothills of the Pyrenees thru these huge fields of sunflowers waving in the breeze and down tree lined roads, into and out of these small countryside villages.
Absolutely beautiful – made us run for the Atlas.

Also, picked up the new Springsteen concert DVD “London Calling: Live in Hyde Park” this weekend ($16 at Target – cheap!) filmed a yr ago. It is a GREAT show. I really like the setlist. Found myself thinking holy crap how cool would’ve it been to see Bruce while we were there?? Good HD video and good sound cranked up on the surround system. Un-freaking believable for a 60 yr old man. As Jon Stewart said at the Kennedy Center induction, the man “empties the tank” each and every time.

It's a BIG park. Wonder if they kept the Queen up? Buckingham Palace is near the SE corner of the park.
