Coden wrote:Hi Sherban - we've been to Cuzzin's and it was great, we'll definitely try to hit it again while there. I've made note of your other two suggestions. We have never been to Paradise Point, I sort of had forgotten it. I'll check Caribbean Historical Tours out and see what they have going on. Thnx for all of the wonderful ideas. :D
Coden- I'm happy to share my thoughts with you.

If you do decide to try Caribbean Hist Tours, try to get a tour with Dawuud...this guy is a class act, he's been on STT 30 years and his Aunt owns Galdy's...he's a cool guy to talk to...sells his art prints too...it is a bit pricey...$45 pp is what we paid, but I would do it again in a heartbeat it was enjoyable. We did a ~2 hour island tour in a safari bus...

There's some reviews of CHT here:

I've always been partial to Magen's Bay if staying on STT. It usually makes the "top ten" beaches list every year.

As for STJ and a taxi, no doubt you can arrange for them to drop you off and to pick you back up at an appointed time without too much difficulty.

Either way, it's a win-win.

As for lunch-- I also want to second (or third or whatever) Cuzzins and Glady's Cafe. We've always enjoyed the food at both these spots.

Thnx Gromit - do you know anything about Emerald Beach Resort or what beach it is on?

How is the snorkeling at Magens?

Do you know which beach is best for snorkeling on STT?

Sorry for all of the questions, and I'll take answers from all.

Magens is not so much a snorkeling beach, more of a lounging beach. It's an amazing deep crescent shape. Looks like a giant deep "U".

As for Emerald Beach,it's on Lindbergh Bay near the Airport. Some folks use it for an overnight before their return flight home and I have seen positive reviews. Here's a good map: http://www.virginislandsmap.com/stthomas/index.html

As for snorkeling on STT, any time I spent on the beaches at STT were purely for tanning purposes and did not snorkel.

Thank you, Gromit. I'm sure that is what we are into this cruise, and, with STT being our 11th day of a 14 day cruise, I am sure sitting on the beach, tanning and having a frozen thingy will be just fine with us!
