For when the forum irritates you

I didn't have some big beef with anyone. I just got busy and who knows when I'll get back to St. John and I talk to people on FB, so it was all good.

But with everything that's gone on this past week, even though I was able to keep up with it on FB, I remembered why I like you all so much. So, I will try to be over here too, even though I don't have much to contribute right now.

I'm pretty much a stalker and try hard not to interfer, but you all are awesome! I have no idea when we'll get back to STJ, if ever again, but this group is fun to keep up with. You all are so educated, positive, supportive, realistic (well some are

) and have great topics.

I do promote STJ to anyone I talk to that is looking for a great escape!

X and California Girl- I don't post very often but lurk ALOT and I must admit I have missed your input.
I am glad you're both back... This forum is a great place with lots of emotion for the greatest place on earth, St. John and you help make it that.

PS: X I have been on trip advisor and noticed all your posts so I knew something was going on and that you hadn't truly abandoned us St. John passionates!!

Pipanale, by the time I finished reading your opening post I was crying, but by the end of this 2-page thread I was laughing. What we have here is an honestly great group of individuals.

Re: the "imaginary friends". Yes, when you're part of an on-line community and others don't participate it makes it easy for them to judge that surely you can't really be "friends" in the true sense of the word. Little do they know. Distance and time between "true" friends is irrelevant.

After watching what transpired on the forum these past couple of weeks I was very touched. As I always say agree to disagree it doesn't matter. You are all a great bunch of people and you really proved that.

I, too, lurk more than post. This past year, not even lurking too much. My husband and I have both lost our jobs and a trip to St John was definately not in the cards for 2010, so even lurking was painful. We consoled ourselves on our 25th anniversary by getting a pretty inexpensive trip to San Antonio. For all you Texans out there - we did indeed have a BIG time! Fun place! However, I have missed the forum and have been grateful for the 4 years we could take a trip, this forum was sooo valuable. I'm hoping 2011 will be in our future and have started lurking again. I stay away from the political posts, because, well they get ugly and my imaginary friends are ALWAYS happy! And pretty and fun and . . well, you get the picture. I am so sorry about MRB he was very humerous in his posts and trip reports. I do remember the Allesandra stay and laughing hysterically at the shenanigans going on there. I have missed all the people who get that space on the rock and vow to catch up. And Pip, strap on those coconuts and rock! We will be here to welcome you with open arms.

I love this forum! My favorite story was pip's midget story! This is what I was trying to say in my Kauai post. I come here to share or ask for tips and I am never disappointed. What a helpful and caring crew we are at the core. I am so glad that a trip to st. John helped me find you.

My husband has no appreciation for why I am such a fan of this forum. Until he reaps the benefits of using the porters at the airport in STT or meets a sweet woman like Rachel. You all are delightful characters and I enjoy hearing your stories and news. Thank you all!

The Forum has never irritated me.

I love reading what everyone is saying...some of it is amusing, some I just shake my head...I realize that we are all individual people with individual thoughts, likes, dislikes...and I appreciate that in all of us. How boring it would be otherwise!!

Even though I'm a STT fan (oh my), I've met many people from the forum that i just love.

I can be fine and not let things that happen on this forum bother me, but if I get mad, watch out.
