12 Days, 11 nights, 9 Ferries--Part One
Hi Liamsaunt--We really enjoyed Leeward. I'll try to do a villa review. There are a few more pictures in my web album---just click on any of the photos in my report and it should take you there.
I like the view because it has a sense of being a cliffside villa with an in-your-face water view. I also think Klein Bay has some of the prettiest water on STJ outside of the north shore. The outside area is compact, but charming. A lot of thought went into the design. The pool was large enough for us, but honestly we don't use it a lot. The kitchen and the living room were separate, and I'm not sure how I feel about that---I probably prefer the kitchen being part of the great room. Each room was very nice though. The living room was very large, with beautiful doors to the deck, and had a very high ceiling. Very nice sound system, which also extended outdoors. The kitchen was nice too, and had good cabinets, granite counters, high-end stove. Also had a nice view.
The two upstairs bedrooms were each large and had a little balcony with awesome views. The whole house has lots of plantation style mahogany furniture. If that style does not appeal to you, I wouldn't recommend staying here. We loved it though. The house is owned by a family from London and it did have a slightly European feel to it.
