It's the tropics, tipsy! Bugs are everywhere, but I've never seen very many of them, myself, aside from a baby scorpion in a sink drain on the day we left our villa.

Just be sure to shake your shoes out before you put them on and if any of your bed covers or clothes end up on the floor, shake those too. You'll be just fine! :D

I will try not to offend any scorpion lovers out there...
I found that if you spray some window cleaner on a scorpion it kinda paralyzes them for awhile so you can whack it with a broom.

thanks for that advice. will do.
have no prob, except for the tarantulas,& scorpions.
Others don't bother me, have bug spray to keep them off me,give the centipedes their space,walk carefully & wear water shoes for the urchins, and lizards & iguanas are fine.
It's still STJ and paradise. :D
No ticker anymore. Next vac will prob. be the Fl Keys.
