There is a "discount ticket" booth like TKTS in NYC that we got great tickets to Hairspray a few years ago. Forgot where it is exactly, but I am sure if you google it you can find it. We rented a car at our hotel (Paris) for a day and went to Hoover Dam. Nice trip..make sure you plan to eat lunch at the little wine shop/restaurant in Hoover..good food. Can't miss it real small town
