I put up a lot of the water thing because they were so much fun to watch and I have mostly pictures of all of the boys messing around on that. My husband is one of the goofballs playing "King of the Mountain". Maybe I will add a few more after tomorrow!

Another great time! There weren't as many people this week, probably because the annual free Christmas concert was being held in Cruz Bay. Still lots of people having a good time though!

I asked about the 27th, and I don't think they are going to be doing it. They said someone rented out the whole beach area for Christmas week. One of the people who helps put this on told me they would get back to me when the next one will be held...so I will let you know when I know!

My DH and I were out there for a couple of hours. Had a great drink, snorkeled for awhile (saw lots of turtles!) and then bought some great bbq chicken and johnny cake to take home for dinner. Julie, I sort of looked for you, but after walking up to a stranger and saying "are you Julie" only to be told that she was Megan, I decided to abandon that tactic. I've got a hunch you were in a turquoise swimsuit and your son was playing on the water slide. Correct?

Thanks for the tip. The music and atmosphere was a highlight of our day.

Can't wait till it's our turn to go.

Just two questions, what about the no-see-ums as the sun goes down? I'm sooo sweet (ha) that all sorts of biting things love me.
And are women allowed on the "raft" or is strictly male? It looks like such fun would love to try it.
No ticker anymore. Next vac will prob. be the Fl Keys.

UPDATE! So it is happening tomorrow....sorry for the short notice. Things got a little changed around with the holidays.

Ummm...maybe that was me in the turquoise bathing suit? But you are right, you can probably locate me by my son, and my husband. I tend to stick close to the beach, and it is quite possible I may be the only one on the beach drinking red wine.

The no-see-ums were not bad last time, but it's always iffy. I bring long pants, long shirt to cover up in. That keeps the little buggers away.....the ocean helps too! The "raft" is not only for the boys (although they HOG it!) but it's really hard to take pictures while you are on the thing. And Boo, from the Beach Bar, would not have appreciated the photos of her that I had of her on it  so they are not posted.

So maybe see some of you out there tomorrow??? I am looking forward to it!

It was a gorgeous day out there yesterday! There were lots of tourists out there so word must be getting out. This was an "earlier" party. Things were pretty much shut down by 7pm. I was there from noon until 7pm and I am beat, and have a really funny sunburn on half of my stomach (oops! missed a spot!) All and all, the turn out was great, the food was awesome, Koko and the Sunshine Band played some great music, the sun was hot, the water was calm and just warm enough....ahhhhhh.....great way to spend a Sunday!

Yes, just show up. It is the NEXT beach after Vie's, so just a short distance past the actual Snack Shack, at Hansen Bay Campground Site. Usually the food is ready around 12:30-1pm, but you can come whenever you want. The beach is always there! This last time they had a sign up (over the NO TRESPASSING sign hee hee) that said, "Fish Fry Welcome!"

The next one is Jan 17 (I will confirm that closer to the date). The food they had this last week was, BBQ Chicken, Fried Chicken, Conch, Whelks, Fish, and LOTS of HUGE Caribbean lobster. The lobster prices depended on size, but the other plates were between $10 and $15. They come with sides, mac and cheese, beans and rice, potato salad, johnny cake, fried plantains. YUM! The drinks are priced right as well. I only drink red wine, and they had a few different selections, for $4 a glass. I think beers are about $3.

I'll keep you posted!

Call me a geek... but I just counted the weeks until my next trip, and if my counting is correct, it looks like there'll be a party on March 28th - during my visit. Woot!

Perhaps the next time I go, I'll ask the correct person "are you Julie?"

Thanks Julie. We'll be there from the 15th to the 25th so we'll try to make it on the 17th.
