Fantastic report and pictures and storyline. I must say that planning as you did and carrying out the plan, was magnificent. What's not to love about Italy. You did it the right way. I'm sure you've got some more photos on the internet somewhere and would love to see them. My favorite city is Florence.

Connie,
I sent the "speedo" photo to my boss and asked him what he was doing in Vernazza?

Promoguy,
Thank you for enjoying the report/photos. I'd be happy to send you the rest of the photos. Please pm me your email address...as I don't think I still have it.
It was an amazing adventure to enjoy with my 26 year very successful daughter. I'll treasure it forever.
Next trip is with my husband to Greece...we'll keep you posted on that one!

We tried to connect with Anthony and Ellen and they had company in town and were busy and we were likewise busy trying to see everything in Florence so it didn't pan out. Sorry guys! Our home is open to you if you ever get to CO!

I'm not comfortable sending personal photo lines out there. She is a manager and being sent all over the US to train St. Regis personnel.
Thanks though.

What a wonderful trip this must have been with your daughter. As lovely as the pictures are, I'm sure the true beauty was in the time you two had together.

Thank you for sharing your experience here, with all of us.

Vernazza

Post by Terry »

I am bringing this story to light again because if you don't know, Vernazza was devasted 10/25/11 by a flash flood. It will never be the same. The locals are doing a great job on restoring it, but 18 feet of mud is a lot deal with. I feel so lucky to be able to see it before this disaster.

I don't recall reading this report when you wrote it, so I am so glad you bumped it up. What an awesome trip. I also stayed up way too late last night reading the website about the flood and the personal stories of people impacted by the devastation. Thanks for posting that as well. Looks like Italy definitely needs to be on my list.
