Help! Squirrels Eating Hardi-plank!

We had really good results with a product named Ro-Pel the fuzzy rodents hated it and thus they left
I think someone told me that amazon now sells it but we found it at a local hardware store.
we had to use it for about a week because it kept raining but eventually enough was left that it worked

Not trying to be a downer, but the problem with the rat poison is that if the squirrel eats and and goes to die in your neighbor's fenced back yard, and the neighbor lets his dog out there, which eats the squirrel...dead dog.

Thanks to all for the advice. We ended up spraying Deer Off all over the base of house and the squirrels haven't come back once, even after a good rain. No dead dogs in neighbors yards so life is good
