Wow, great report, can't wait for more.
Since my youngest daughter has put in for a transfer from the St. Regis in Dana Pt,CA to Costa Rica resort...we're anxious to go visit. With the economy, the resort is on 'hold'. But what the hey...we may head down there next year and check it out.

You write a great trip report. Thanks.

Yeah! I'm glad it was so fun for you. We loved Arenal as well. I love Costa Rica and St. John both, but CR has a special place in my heart b/c of the wildlife and adventure... and the fact that there is just something so uncivilized about parts of the country. I believe I mentioned this in my PMs before you left, but on your next trip, you really need to try to get down to the Osa. That's where all the monkeys are. You don't even have to look to find them, just sit in one spot and watch the troops come by through the canopy!
