Hi everyone! Thanks for the info so far! I do know that both Casa Bueno and Luminaria are for sale. I have spoke to Lynn the owner of Luminaria and to Mark about Casa Bueno. Both seemed to say renting should not be a problem...I suppose it would come down to (if sold) what the new owners would agree/honor.

To doyle...Bordeaux Breeze is a 2 bedroom and we are wanting a 3 bedroom...thanks thou and let's keep in-touch, I think we can help each other!

To Chet...I have read your trip report on CB, it is very detailed...thanks!

To Susan & Herb...Villa Carolina owners have not returned my call. I think it may be a bit smaller villa with a smaller pool than Luminaria for around the same price...thanks!

To Teresa_Rae...Yes, I agree that Villa L'Esprit de la Vie looks very nice...too bad it is booked already. I wasn't too sure about the location...Pt. Rendezous may be a bit too populated?

I hope to hear from someone who has stayed at Luminaria!!!

My best to you all,
Jo

Diana,
I drive both everyday. It is the same distance from Bordeaux to the North Shore turn off as from Upper Carolina to same corner. My point was that Upper Carolina is convenient to BOTH north AND south shore beaches. I just don't think that it makes much of a difference. You still get in a car and need to drive to either.
The other advantage to Upper Carolina is that it is easy (and faster) to drive into COral Bay for dinner. The drive from Bordeaux to Cruz Bay is longer and parking in Cruz Bay is a hassle. I much prefer the drive down the hill to Aqua Bistro and easy parking.

Your point is well taken, Polly. I agree that I'd rather run down to Aqua Bistro or Skinny's or Shipwreck rather than go into Cruz Bay for dinner. And Upper Carolina is closer to Coral Bay. When we were there for 3 weeks in June we probably went to Coral Bay more often than Cruz Bay.
