Thank you so much for your wonderful post. That's just what were looking for. Great to know it just a short drive to coral bay. We have 8 days, and plan on hitting the beach, good bars, meeting good people, and having the time of our lives.

Good memory, RickG! We stayed at Siempre Azul on our first visit to St. John. It's very remote, on it's own little peninsula, with great views. Very private. Small but comfortable was a very good description. It's a bit more of a drive to get to places, but we didn't find that to be a problem.

Hi Army Girl: My husband is active duty Army. We've been going down for a few years now and I am unaware of any military discounts. You will love it. You will be able to almost completely relax. He still works the BlackBerry there, but I don't thenk he can relax without it. :D

Gromit: One year he said he wasn't bringing it. So I left mine home. But then there is was working the darn thing. So, now we both have them down there. He took a picture of me trying to get a signal while at Trunk Bay last year. Now he shows it too folks saying I can't relax, I even work the BB at the beach.

Who did you rent Siempre Azul through? It is on a lot of websites.
I will be rooting for the beloved Patriots again next year.

ArmyGirl:

Do you all work for the PEO located in St. Louis? You will love St. John. And, if you can, do leave the BB behind.

We stayed at Siempre Azul this past December and loved it! It's very secluded (and the driveway is a breeze compared to most villa driveways). We especially enjoyed the "lawn" and the deck chairs overlooking the bay.

The hot tub is brand new (we were the first or second renters to use it), and I HIGHLY recommend a soak right at sunset, watching the lights out at the East End.

Sigh. I'm jealous!!
