Photos from St. John: birds, fish, beaches
I can't see the photo again, as the webpage is not responding, but they do have smaller orange spots towards the tail and on the back. But there are also a white spotted filefish that can be totally orange, without spots, so this is a bit confusing. That one is much bigger, so there is no doubt what species your fish is.
And just to make it even more confusing, there is a rare filefish called orange filefish (saw one in Virgin Gorda) that is covered in small orange dots.
