Sadly, I know of several homeowners who just paid to have water delivered over the past few days...

I know this is a dumb question, but look who's asking it.
Is it very expensive to fill a cistern?

...happy for the thirsty island for green will return
...not so happy for the run-off & difficult driving/walking
Spice Cam seems stuck for last hour or so
...temperatures dropping
and these photos surely show your island in a different mood...not so much fun
... no longer a stranger to paradise

We paid $440.00 for 5500 gallons - there sometimes is a surcharge for difficult delivery area's and driveways

You can really see the rain coming down, and the flooding on Centerline.

What a day.
Five minutes after we decided to close early the rain stopped and the sky brightened.
Still no Internet connection to the Spice Cam, though.
Are the roads still a mess?

I confess that I've been doing a rain dance because I want the island to be green when I'm there in 5 weeks. Should I stop now???

Pia & Kirk, how long does your water last when filled?

I noticed in someone's pic of STJ from the water that the island looked more brown than green, hopefully this will help.
I was gonna say what Joshie mentioned too...mosquitos are gonna be a swarming...bring lots of repellant if you are headed down soon.
