It's finally gotten cold here in NJ; it's 30 degrees out and windy. I spent several hours yesterday viewing every single villa on Caribbeanvillas.com, and I'm not even looking to rent (already got a reservation for October). The song "Boat Drinks" made me cry last week.

Yep, I've got it bad, lol. And I can always look forward to a call from my brother in FL, which generally starts out with a description of the weather and what he's wearing. Sigh.

I know it's not as bad here as some of you have it, but we are going to 17 tonight. I was in the yard with my 10 year old, playing baseball this afternoon at 28 degrees . . . not good baseball weather! I can't imagine the subzero temps. that some of you are experiencing right now. Stay warm!!

 NOT!
NOT ME!!! I try to make it a point to only miss the seasons "Spring" and "Fall".
That Winter stuff, (not to rub it in) that's pretty nasty stuff.
I'm sorry you have to do it.
I'm probably just making it worse.....

Well it is colder than a witches butt here in my neck of the woods right now and I hate it!!! :( I am not a cold weather girl...only Hot weather does it for me. Anything below 70 is not good as far as I'm concerned!!

I can't wait to move to Florida once I retire!! :D

I watched the Gallows Point web cam on Saturday at sunset. I had a rum drink and just pretended like I was there. It was a beautiful sunset!
This is the best idea I've seen!! We've been lucky, but the warm/cold/warm/cold thing is getting to be ridiculous. Everyone sick. And as for that thing about "I have to live where there are all 4 seasons"...my husband used to say that all the time. I notice as his blood has gotten thinner and he's closer to retirement, that tune has changed!

It's 31 and raining/sleeting here in South Texas. My son has 2 inches of sleet and ice in San Antonio. My other son up by Dallas is gonna have 3 inches of snow by Wednesday. It's gonna be funny seeing ice on the palm trees in the morning. Did someone mention Global Warming???

Ain't no thing as global warning. As far as I'm concerned Al Gore didn't invent the internet and he's not doing that good on global warming either.

I had early morning appointment. Left house at 7.00 am and temp in car said 34 degrees. Los Angeles and I'm not sure I ever saw it this cold before.

We got lucky here in the central Ill. area just got cold (12 degrees with wind chill at 0) Missed all the ice with just a dusting of snow. I am hoping somebody down on the island this week can bring us back some of that warm weather

Well at least we got power back late yesterday! My house went from 40 to 71 in 5 hours. I slept in my own bed and didn't have to shower by candlelight (kinda fun anyway). Now to clean up the 4 fallen trees in the backyard and branches everywhere. Nah. It'll wait. Everyone's yard looks like a disaster area. No pressure.

On to dreaming of STJ and lurking on these boards...er I mean working.

This is our first ~taste~ of the snow...the last 10" that fell, we were sitting out at the Wyndham beach reading our text message from our children about how much snow was falling.....I replied...
" **Sorry**....it rained here last nite"....
now the snow fell again & we were unlucky enough to witness it!!

I am NOT meant to be living here in Wisconsin!! I was meant to be living closer to a beach....much more south of here!!

I am sitting here very envyous of all you that are counting down till your trip!! Only thing getting me thru it is my countdown to Hawaii end of March!

Sitter,
Please send me information (a PM is fine) about those Hawaii forums just in case I am going there in 2008. :D

Yes, we are freezing our A$$es off here in WI, but the snow is so beautiful, isn't it.
