Robbin,

I'm really sorry for your loss. I have been in a position where I had a trip to STJ impending and had personal difficulties that seemed to take all of the wind out of my sails, to the point that I didn't even want to go. Sometimes it doesn't feel like the right time for a "vacation." Keep in mind that STJ is so much more than a "vacation." It's a place that soothes the soul like no other. When you arrive, troubles seem to melt away, and when you return, you'll feel a little stronger, a little happier, a little more whole. Go and let the little island work it's magic on you.

I agree with the folks who mentioned Phil Chalker. We sailed with him for half a day last week and he is a calm, reassuring presence. You feel better for just knowing him.
