jmq - Canyon DeChelly... I love it!
Here's a pic of Land's End in Cabo San Lucas (but I think you all just recently saw it in my Cabo photos!)

P.S. I like this idea of a TGIF OT picture! Great idea Maggy!

Thanks Maggy. At first look I assumed Virgin Gorda, but couldn't imagine where on the island it might be or why I'd never seen a photo of it.

Next I thought the Seychelles, which have boulder formations on the beach.

I'd never seen nor heard of the Similans. I did spend some time in Thailand many years ago. Spent a couple of weeks on Ko Samed, which was then a relatively undeveloped island in the Gulf of Thailand. That's really my most wonderful tropical island memory. It looks like there's been a whole lot of development since I was there, so it's not really an experience that could be recaptured.

Lex, that is so funny, because the very first time we visited Virgin Gorda, I thought it looked like Similan islands. The Similans are in the Andaman sea on the west coast 2 hours with speed boat from Khao Lak. It's a national park and you can only stay in tents or day tour. Unfortunately it gets crowded during the days. Lots of divers go there on either liveaboards or daytrips.

Never been to the Gulf coast but many peole like Koh Chang. Thailand is not what it was 10 years ago, but still there are places to find that are less crowded.

The Seychells are on my list. I know about their granite boulders which often shows in pictures from there. Looks beautiful.

These are tiny rocks in comparison but this is a well known stream that we visit reguarly - catch and release only

I'm loving this thread! Seanile, those cliffs in Kauai are amazing, and Agent99, the limestone cave is like science fiction!

As Agent99 says:

Maggy, we loved Krabi especially the different colours in the water and the cliffs. I hope you had a great vacation- have thought of you hearing about the problems in SAS :( .
