Hey thanks for the post from "The Boss". That was insightful. Being a musician, I've often had trouble explaining to people about "getting into the zone" and "turning it on". It is literally like a switch. The great ones can turn it on and off at will. Bruce explained it well and Peter Wolf summed it up perfectly....'the strangest thing you can do on stage is think about what you're doing."
I remember some nights being so in the zone that it was almost like an out of body experience. I wasn't thinking about playing at all and you could actually envision looking down from above, watching yourself...then one flub brings you back to the moment. Very strange....Could it have been the drugs?
