Picalilli has a pretty neat history! I'm glad they're being good to you.

Good to hear of Paul's improvement.
Jim, Glad you have such a great employer.
When any of us go thru a rough time that can make a world of difference.
I looked at their website to see if I knew where this place was.
If anyone wants a good laugh read the directions on how to get there from Philadelphia! Someone has a sense of humor!
All the best to you and your family .

Squirrel is a legend here in Roxborough :)

But seriously, we're praying for his speedy recovery and that all is well. You have a great attitude and keeping your focus on the positive is sure to pull you through this tough time.

Although we can't make it to St. John in November, we'll do all we can to make your party at th Pic.

Wishing you and your family all the best!

Jim...it sounds like Paul is improving. That's good!

I was checking out the area you're in. It looks like it might be a little wedge of quiet tucked into the middle of a lot of hustle and bustle in the area. You're in the Trenton, Philly, Atlantic City Triangle! I hope that's not like the Bermuda Triangle...
Still waiting to return to St. John!

Yes, Cid, it's pretty much like you describe... (except the bermuda triangle part)...
Nancy,-
It's still a bit of a stretch away, but yes, ya'll are invited to the post STJ wedding party. Honestly, it would be awesome to see you forum friends there. To me, it would be such a "full circle" type of situation, as I love the laid back/family friendly attitude of my work-place. It's kinda' out in the middle of nowhere, but I could guide you to local hotels/motels if driving home is an issue.
The owner of The Lime Inn has his office in Medford, NJ, which is @ 5 miles away from the Pic, halfway from my home to work...
Maybe I should let him (Rich Meyers) know if we're having a get-together when the time comes...?
Thanks again, everyone for your thoughts & prayers for my big bro...
Updates to come...
Smiles-
Jimmy & Amy

Jimmy,

The world just got a whole lot smaller last nite when I conveyed this entire story to my husband.
I got to the part about the Pic-a-lilli,he not only knew exactly where it is, he said he's played there (he's a guitar player)!!!! It was w/ a band he is not a regular player with, and it was a year or so ago. He occasionally plays w/ these same guys at another place up that way in which he passes the Pic on his way.

He recalls the vibe of the Pic as a larger version of a place we used to have close to us called Brownies, in which he was in the house band. This was years ago and Brownies is long gone.

The plans for your wedding are shaping up well. We would do our best to attend the local celebration!...it looks like we will be on island too late in Nov.

Funny what Cid said about the triangle. That is roughly the area of Wharton State Forrest...lots of trees and not too many good northeast-northwest roads, except for fire roads. Anyone unfamiliar w/ the barren land area might not know of its vast size amongst our densely populated state.

Good hearing of the improvement for Paul...one step at a time!
