Don't often make these, but my husband is from the old sod and loves a good hand-cut potato once in a while.

Broccoli roasted quickly, at very high heat, with olive oil, crushed salt and pepper. Crunchy and addicting.

A client of my husband's is a professional chef. Every Chinese New Year, she makes mooncakes in her outdoor pizza oven. omg they are so good.

Traditionally, they have a red bean paste filling, but hers are filled with some kind of fruit and nut crumbly delicious mixture.

I have wild turkey tenders soaking in seasoned butter milk for snacls during the game and have to get the flank steak in its bath for half time supper.

Home made pierogis.

They were pretty but they tasted awful. I wish I could recreate my Grandma's recipe.

The twinki sushi looked so real that at least 2 people (my MIL included) thought it was real. My hubby had to head that one off..."its like cake with stuff, its sweet." She was very confused.

I'd prefer you didn't eat THAT.

It was AWESOME Gromit. Thanks.

DAMN Wish!! That lobster risotto rocks!

I made ssome gourmet mac and cheese yesterday with ricotta, goat cheese and parmesan but forgot to take a pic. It was YUMMY!

Yeah the Twinkie Sushi is fruit roll up (or fruit leather) on the outside. The garnish is dried apricot and dried mangoes. But any dried fruits will do.

Total sugar rush and very sweet but good.

It was fun!

Mary Beth - that chocolate cake looks delicious - any left?

And Wish - nice job with those lobsters!

I am so not a baker, but here's my attempt at a Limoncello Bundt cake. It was OK - fancy name for a lemon cake. It could of used more of an icing glaze (instead of a suger glaze that was supposed to sink in) -(definitely would have gone nicely with the Lobster Risotto, though)

Here's a Pot Roast - looks burnt, but it wasn't. It was very tender and tasty. Image

And a Bolognese over Pappardelle

Also attempted a Banana Bread - it kinda sank in the middle. Not sure if it wasn't cooked through or mixed thoroughly. No pics - it was all eaten.

Hi,

It's a Rachael Ray recipe - http://www.rachaelray.com/recipe.php?recipe_id=2473

I made a few substitutions:

ground thyme for fresh; ground cloves and cinnamon for the allspice. Also added more tomato paste and garlic. Used half&half for the cream (which she said was OK on TV). Used a Chianti Classico for the wine.

It also said to add some reserved pasta water back into the pasta. I did that, but would skip it next time.

We liked it!
