Thinking about tickers - anyone use a countdown Widget?

I love having my ticker for the forums but I found a countdown that runs on my desktop - part of the Yahoo Widget family. It's fully customizable - you can use your own picture and name the event as you wish.

Here's a screenshot of mine:



First you download the Widget engine:

http://widgets.yahoo.com/

then, search available widgets for one called "Vacation Countdown" and add it to your widget inventory. There are other useful/fun widgets for area weather, webcams, iTunes remote, etc., and new ones are being added all of the time.

Good tip! I've never seen those. I'll have to get one for my home computer (I'm sure my work one will block it somehow).
