Tarheelgirl: Have you looked at some of the villas through Destination St. John? I'm staying at Oceanport at the end of April and it looks as though there is a lot of availability for this villa. It doesn't have a pool but there's a little path that you can take down to the ocean. The view is great, there's a hot tub, and there's plenty of bedrooms for your group. It's actually a little closer to Cruz Bay than Sea Cay. I actually checked this villa out when I was there in December. As I recall there was an outside wet bar and barbeque area. I've worked with Destination St. John a couple of times and they've always been wonderful.

If you would not mind posting your trip dates and the range of your weekly villa budget for your vacation I bet you'll get some more ideas for villas. Well, you'll get some from me, anyway. :D
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

We're going June 16-23, but a friend of ours "on island" reps a few villas and this is one of his. (just trying to help him out). We're looking for other opinions on the place.
Unfortunately, we'll be missing Jorge's next "tour".
Snowing here today... gosh, that webcam helps!

Still Waters

Post by Randy in MD »

Tarheelgirl - Geez, you have asked about yet another villa I've stayed in. My recollections of Still Waters is a bit tainted by the fact that we were there in early November a few years ago and it rained every day - poured every day, as in 20 inches over our 8 day stay. So we spent a lot of time inside and not on the deck (or beaches). The inside was very comfortable and the kitchen was of the gourmet variety. The thing I remember the most though, is the fact that Still Waters had a generator that the owner who lived below us turned on every time the power went out. And with 20 inches of rain it went out a lot. The villa is in a great neighborhood and from the deck there was a great view of Chocolate Hole. From the inside, there are lot of windows but the view was more limited and as I said, we were inside a lot. Too bad you couldn't get Sea Cay. PM me if you'd like any more detail...

Thanks Randy! Geez, you guys get around! Sounds like I'm getting a good one, here. From the pics, it doesn't look like a roller coaster driveway, either.
Sorry to hear about the rainy vacation. We had alot of rain when we were down in August..some tropical storm..and every mosquito on the plant snacked on us!
We stayed at Rendezvous Terrace which was splendid (but also booked for our time this year).

This snow bites. I need a painkiller!
