We are running low on spices, time to go back to STJ
We are getting to critically low levels with our spices from St. John Spice. To fix this dire situation we just made plane reservations to fly back and buy some more. Oh, and we also decided that since we will already be there buying our spices we might as well spend 10 days on STJ, so we just booked a villa too (at our usually, the Bayview).
We certainly missed not going to STJ in this year. Now we have 10 wonderful days (11 including one day on STT) to look forward to next June (19th - 30th).

Great news on the trip! I bought the largest bag of Cruz Bay Grill Rub I could find last week. I'm sharing some with a couple of friends, but the rest is all mine.
St. John Spice has a great selection of nice items. I bought several things (wine glasses, teas, mug, caps) and Ruth shipped everything on Saturday. We received the first box on Monday (yes, Monday) and the second box arrived today. Very convenient and easy.
And, I love my cookbook! Thanks, Ruth!

Oh, you mean we don't fly to STJ to get our spices? Wow, maybe we'll cancel our airplane and villa reservations and just order online - NOT.Nancy_B wrote:The great thing about St. John Spice is that you really never have to run out. Just simply call Ruth and she will send you what you need - shipping is a deal and it comes very quick.

Didn't mean to imply that at ALL! We all need trips planned to St. John - they feed our soul. I'm just saying that you don't have to go without while you're not there. It's fun to receive a package from St. John and they do come super speedy from Ruth.Bob & Anita wrote:Oh, you mean we don't fly to STJ to get our spices? My husband was just saying at dinner last night that we're running low on two of the Trinidad Charlie's sauces that we bought last year at St. John Spice. I never really thought about ordering online but I guess it would really be a plus not having any extra weight in our luggage. The spice packs wouldn't be a weight problem but the bottles are.

Life has been very busy for us lately. While we often quickly read postings we have not have much time to actively participate, although we occasionally throw our two-cents in. We always enjoy your quips, as well as those from many from the "regulars".RickG wrote:Good to see you back in the neighborhood.
