Dave-a-roni's trip report, part 3
Dave-a-roni: "The Iguana feedings were really neat, I highly recommend if your not afraid of them. I don't know how one can be afraid of a vegatarian lizard, but what do I know
"
Hey! We don't have any lizards here in Vermont. I got "trapped" under the deck of our villa by an iguana that was about 6 1/2 feet long. I was under the deck taking flower pictures when I turned around and he was blocking my path. I sort of knew that they were vegetarians, but I had no idea if they were territorial or not. As I was looking at those knarly tree climbing claws, all I could think of was that I was between the iguana and its nest or babies. I had visions of him ripping my arm off and the headlines in our local paper..."Vermont Man Killed by Angry Iguana While on Carribbean Honeymoon". Common sense finally won out and I got some great pictures and video! He was by far the biggest iguana we saw around the villa, so we nicknamed him/her "Killer".
