Have any of you used them for a meal delivery? It is a little pricey ($230 for four people - includes entree, three sides and dessert but then you add a 20% servive fee PLUS $35 delivery fee). I know we could get a great meal in town for less than that but it just sounds wonderful to have an entire day at the villa and then a nice dinner being delivered to our doorsteps! OR, being gone all day and then coming back to the villa and not having to worry about cooking dinner.

Thoughts?

Thanks.

Jamie,

My friends hired him for their pre-wedding picnic at a villa. It was DELICIOUS! You are paying more for having meal in your home but you're right you are paying for the additional service. They come right to you and you get to relax and enjoy the beautiful villa you are staying at and the gorgeous views. I say it's worth the money.

Let me first say that Mat is a friend and he is also a member of this board.

Next, I will say that he is an incredibly talented Chef and one that I would highly recommend.

I REALLY wanted to do this when we were on STJ in February but our group couldn't get their act together and agree on a menu.

Mathayom catered our wedding and his food is AMAZING :)

We went to his new "full moon" dinner at Concordia last month and will go again this month - fabulous food (one of the staff was unbelievable.........in a bad way and will "86" him this month if he pulls his crap again (sorry Matt) ) but as far as having Matt cater anything you cant go wrong and you won't be sorry :)

My wife and I were fortunate enough to enjoy his in-villa chef experience and had one of the most memorable meals in our lives. He is absolutely worth the money. We got to go in the spa between courses and it was a relaxed way to have dinner served.

Thanks for all the kind words, everyone!

I believe that the 20% service fee is standard for almost all the caterers here on STJ and that our pricing is very competitive for the product we offer. Some caterers also charge an additional 4% "gov't" tax, which we do not.

We try to be as clear and upfront on all costs as possible so there are no surprises.

Please feel free to PM me with any questions, we love to hear from you!
