feet fins and four wheel drive question

Post by cass »

I took this book with me to St. John two years ago (had read it oh...about a million times during my 300 day countdown!), and I left it behind!

I'm planning another trip, and I really need to buy this book again. My problem is this...on the authors website it says that the 2nd edition was updated in 2006. Everywhere else I've shopped around for it (including on this site) says 2nd edition 2001.

So I'm not sure now which one I had, or which one I need to buy now!

I have the 2006 version. I believe I bought it at the NPS offices. There or, maybe, Every Ting (old location).

I have read it cover to cover twice in the past week including on a plane last Sunday night.

Hi

I could only find the 2001 version.
I had to order it from Amazon in the US as there were none in the UK (that I could find) But I am quite glad about that really as hopefully it means the VI are still off of the main tourist map.
BUT I wont get it for at least another month !!!!
Mind you I am not going until Christmas so its probably a good thing as I will get too excited

Cass - check with Ruth, she may have it.

Also, every villa we have stayed in so far has had a copy of that book and Off the Beaten Track.

Hi Cass,

You might try vitraders.com. The picture of the cover says Revised Edition on it, although it doesn't indicate the date.

Unless I'm missing something (and I could be because I haven't been here too much lately), you can order it here. In fact, there is a little link at the top of my page right now to get a copy for $12.95.

I think I might break down and get a copy. It would've been handy last year.

yes, I think getting it on here would be my best bet. Surely the copies sent from this site are the newest editions. Amazon had them for like $5, but they are probably first editions.

Lulu76, you should get one! It has alot of really helpful stuff in it, and it is pretty funny too! I found it completely amusing BEFORE I ever even got there! Now that I have been, I'm sure there are a lot of "inside joke" kind of things that I didn't get before.

Thanks everyone!

I think we should support Anthony when we can. After all, he does let us use this awesome web site for free.

So, my next purchase has to be my plane ticket, but the book will be next.

I try not to read too many trip guides because I tend not to plan after I get to the Red Hook ferry after arriving on STT.

I can tell you that I NEVER get anything as fast as the stuff I order from Anthony. I don't know they do it, but I am always shocked that I get stuff from his site so quickly.
