STJ-we're coming back!

Post by toni »

Well I booked the airfare today and reserved Casa Blanca for a week in March. We last went in 2006. My goodness but airfare is almost as expensive as the accomodations!

We're trying to be more economical this time since we're going in high season. Work constraints for my husband and me have made us realize that we can't plan ahead for trips unless they're scheduled Dec-March so that limits us. Bummer on the prices though! Does anybody ever plan a trip with just a couple weeks to spare? I'd be interested in that strategy.

But I'm pretty excited about staying close to town-other than our first trip back in '96 when we stayed at Gallows, we've never been close to Cruz Bay, and this place is within walking distance so I'm looking forward to trying different restaurants and parking my fanny at the Beach Bar :D Not having to worry about drinking and driving is a BIG plus!

The countdown has started and I'll be glued to this forum everyday now :)

Woohoo! I love that feeling I get after I've booked the house AND the airline tickets-- cause then it's REAL!

I for one am a big planner. So unless it was a total last minute trip I would never play fast and loose on last minute planning for a much needed vacation.
