weather websites? bug spray

Post by Iluvstjohn »

The countdown is on...and I am like a kid at christmas....I am so so so excited....I know I shouldn't look at weather.com etc.......but I do...are there any other websites that track the weather?

Also...bugspray....I bought some good OFF stuff and the kids have their deet free stuff......any other recommendations for those pesky no see ums....they seem to love my son's buzzed head!

anything else?

we've decided to pack the polarbear cooler and get food on st thomas instead of bringing stuff. AA is charging per bag now, so that defeats the costs........

ummmmm....i can't wait!!!!

I like wunderground.com. I especially like the "scientific forecast discussion," although I don't understand it.

I think it's more accurate than weather.com.

I try not to obsess about weather before I go, but end up checking it all the time anyway...

Probably the most informative local weather site is www.weathercarib.com - this has an easily read format and the best satellite options.

I also like looking at this website (even though you shouldn't obsess about the weather, even though I do the same thing before I leave - LOL!:

http://www.stormvi.com

I'm sure you'll have great weather! 8)

My favorite Caribbean weather site is this one:
http://www.stormcarib.com/

Check out the reports on the right side of the page from "Miss Mermaid" from Tortola. She's a hoot...

EXPECT THE WEATHER CONDITIONS TO GRADUALLY DETERIORATE DURING THE
AFTERNOON ACROSS THE ISLANDS...AS THE MOISTURE ALONG THE NORTHERN
PERIPHERY AND TRAILING THE TROPICAL WAVE MOVES ACROSS THE REGION.
THEREFORE...ONLY MINOR CHANGES WERE MADE TO THE SHORT TERM POPS
AND WEATHER GRIDS..BUT DID HOWEVER INCREASE WINDS AND SEAS ACROSS
THE SOUTHERN CARIBBEAN WATERS DUE TO CURRENT OBSERVATIONS AND
LOCAL REPORTS. THE REST OF THE INHERITED FORECAST PACKAGE LOOKS
GOOD FOR NOW...EXPECT A RAPID IMPROVEMENT BY SATURDAY AFTERNOON
AND FOR THE REST OF THE WEEKEND AS THE WAVE EXITS THE AREA.

The best is www.caribwx.com. Living here I can tell you do not trust www.weather.com or any forecast that goes out more than 2 days.
